Check In Requirements

VALID GOVERNMENT ISSUED I.D.

Each guest must provide us with a physical valid government issued ID. IDs must clearly show your name, photo, and residency. IDs cannot be ripped, damaged, or expired. Foreign passports and IDs are accepted! USA passports and passport cards are only accepted for Hotel guests. Without an ID, we cannot check you in.

STAYING IN A SHARED DORM? YOU MUST RESIDE 90+ MILES FROM THE HIGHROAD.

Our dorm rooms are reserved for international / travelers coming into the DC area. If your ID reflects residency within 90 miles, we cannot check you in. US passports, passport cards, and US Residency cards are not accepted.

VALID CARD ON FILE FOR INCIDENTALS

Guests must provide a valid credit/debit card on file for their reservation that is issued under their name. In the event of any damages, lost or stolen items or any hiccups; a valid card must be on file in the event of assessed clean up or other fees.


Payment Methods

We accept all major credit and debit cards. We do not accept cash for reservations.


Deposits & Cancellation

Standard Flexible Reservation Deposit Policy: The first night + tax total is charged at the time of booking. The remaining balance is charged 24 hours prior to arrival. This policy applies across all booking platforms.

Standard Flexible Cancellation Policy: In the event that you have to cancel your booking, you must submit a request via email to info@highroadhotel.com no less than 72 hours (3 days) before your date of check in. Requests to cancel with less than 72 hours notice will result in a cancellation fee.

Nonrefundable Reservation Deposit Policy: The entire reservation amount is charged at the time of booking. This policy applies across all booking platforms.

Nonrefundable Reservation Cancellation Policy: By booking a nonrefundable reservation, you are locking in a discounted rate in exchange for no flexibility within your reservation. Nonrefundable reservations are 100% nonrefundable and cannot be cancelled, modified, or transferred without penalty equal to 100% of the reservation total.

House rules

CHECK OUT: 11 AM to avoid late check out fees starting at $15

QUIET HOURS: 10 PM - 8 AM. Reception reserves the right to move quiet hours earlier if need be.

VISITORS: Guests who booked private rooms are allowed to have guests. You are responsible for your guest at all times. No visitors in dorm rooms.

NO SMOKING NO DRUGS: No smoking or vaping of any sort indoors.

MAXIMUM LENGTH OF STAY: You are able to stay for up to 14 nights in a 365 day period.

NO CURFEW!: We do not enforce any curfew, feel free to come and go as you please. Just keep quiet hours and other house rules in mind.

NO OUTSIDE LINENS / SLEEPING BAGS: Please do not bring any blankets, pillows, sleeping bags, etc. No outside bedding is allowed within guest rooms. We have everything you need!

ANIMALS AND PETS: We unfortunately do not allow for furry friends to stay at the HighRoad. Trained and certified service animals are the only exception to this rule. No emotional support animal (ESA) or companion animals are allowed. ESA are not recognized as service animals under the ADA laws.

MANAGEMENT’S DISCRETION: For the good of all guests in the property, Management requires all guests to abide by the House Rules during their Stay. If a guest participates in disorderly behavior, is personally unsanitary and fails to clean up after being notified, or fails to comply with the above rules, the guest will be asked to leave at the guest's expense, and no refunded will be provided plus other costs to remedy a situation caused by the guest may be charged. Management also reserves the right to deny entry or refuse services to anyone.

Shared Dorm Rule Specific Rules

  • No outside visitors

  • No food or drinks in dorm rooms

  • Please use your assigned bed and locker given to you at check in
